Free tier allowances revised down
The Free tier is now 5 corpus questions a month and 2 full synthesis runs, down from 10 and 3. The 25-paper library is unchanged.
Two runs on topics you know cold still settle whether the synthesis is worth paying for.

Fair queuing, in both directions
Deep runs now drain from three lanes: priority, paid, and free, each with a guaranteed share of the worker cycle. A burst of free runs queues against other free runs rather than against paying customers, and a paid burst cannot starve the free lane either.
The queue-position count was also fixed: it now counts your own lane, so "12 ahead" no longer includes jobs that were never in front of you.

Known limits get their own page
The six current limits moved from the methodology page to /limits, stated plainly and dated, with a real bail from a real run as the exhibit. When a limit falls, this page is where it will say so.

Ultimate's Deep-run priority is live in the queue
The priority flag Ultimate runs carry is now consumed in production scheduling; before, it was only recorded. An Ultimate deep run enters the priority lane, with its own guaranteed share of the worker cycle, instead of waiting in the shared one.

The Scope Selector now does what it says on deep runs
Async deep runs were parsing your scope choice and then running at the default scope anyway. A user who picked "my uploads only" got the whole corpus, and the citations they got back proved it.
Fixed on both sides of the queue. The run receipt now reflects the scope that actually ran, and scoped deep runs read only what you pointed them at.

Cancel a queued or running deep run
A deep run you no longer want can be cancelled, queued or already running. Cancelling takes no quota, bills nothing, and any reserved credit is returned exactly once.

The papers list stops implying an empty library
A page emptied by your filters now says the filters did it, instead of showing the same blank state as a library with no papers. Landing past the last page self-repairs instead of stranding you on an empty screen.

Boosters at $5 and $10
Two smaller booster rungs join the $25 one, for months that run a little heavy rather than a lot. Boosters are for paid plans, paid up front, applied immediately.
Refunding a booster also claws back its credit (follow-up fix, 2026-08-11), so a refund cannot leave spendable credit behind.
